I have fought scorching flames, reported on bomb threats, trudged through ankle-deep mud, conducted a rooftop interview, flew in a hot air balloon and endured way too many scuffs, scrapes and bruises, in order to get “the shot.” And I love every minute of it. 

 

I have worked at several daily and weekly newspapers over the past 14 years, including The Record Searchlight in Redding, Calif., The Daily Advocate in Greenville, Ohio, the Newport Beach Independent in Newport Beach, Calif., Stu News Laguna in Laguna Beach, Calif., and Stu News Newport in Newport Beach.

 

I've also written and contributed to various online outlets and regional magazines on topics related to outdoor news, hiking and camping guides, travel, harbor and maritime industries, nonprofits and charitable organizations, and local features. 

 

My work has included photography, writing, design, and layout.

 

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, traveling and spending time with my husband and pets.
